Many of your provider selection decisions will be based on geographical location and provider specialties – Inside the USA and Outside of the US. In the US, when you call a doctor’s office for an appointment or present your ID card to a provider, it is important for you to say exactly as noted below. Otherwise, listed providers WILL NOT recognize this language or evidence presented, and may wrongly state that the plan is NOT accepted.
WHAT TO ASK: “My insurance uses the United Healthcare PPO Network and I found your name listed as a provider on their plan PPO network search listings.”
WHAT TO PRESENT: Always ONLY present your insurance ID card which you received upon purchase of the policy.
WHAT NOT TO SAY: “I have Atlas America Insurance” or “I have Atlas Insurance” or “I use Atlas PPO Network” or “I use WorldTrips plan” or “I use Tokio Marine HCC” etc.
WHAT NOT TO PRESENT: Do NOT present other documents such as plan brochure or certificate wording or email as proof of coverage.

To ensure that the physician you have selected is in the network, please contact the physician’s office to confirm his or her participation. For Atlas International plans, there is no PPO Network outside the U.S., you can seek treatment and medical care in many countries and territories worldwide with any doctor or hospital or clinic or physician offices. Save your bills and receipts, and file your claims online.

Please always refer to and present the PPO Network logo on the back of ID cards. In the USA only, co-insurance savings and in-PPO network discounts may apply for Atlas Travel Series, and other WorldTrips plans.
