The plan administrator for Atlas Series and StudentSecure products is changing its brand from Tokio Marine HCC – MIS Group to WorldTrips. This change, with effect on April 15th, 2021, does not affect the plan names and product offerings, which will remain the same, and the company is still part of the Tokio Marine HCC Group.

Additionally, some benefits of the below products was updated by the plan administrator – with enhancements and other wording changes. These changes are also effective April 15th, 2021 and impact the  below plans:

What has changed in this update?

Plan administrator brand name – Tokio Marine HCC-MIS Group rebranded to WorldTrips, and benefit enhancements for Atlas Travel (Atlas America or Atlas International), Atlas Premium, Atlas Essential, Atlas Group Travel, Atlas MultiTrip, and StudentSecure.

Below are the updates/changes made to the Atlas Series and StudentSecure products effective on and after 04/15/2021.

Atlas Series

  • New benefit: Quarantine benefit – $50 per day /max 10 days of coverage.
    • Must have a minimum of 30 days of coverage. Proof of quarantine mandated by a physician or governmental authority required. Quarantine must be due to you testing positive for COVID-19/SARS-CoV2, or you are symptomatic and waiting on diagnostic test results.
    • Not available while in your home country.
    • Not subject to deductible
  • Policy wording updated to reflect that virtual physician visits are covered the same as in-office visits.

StudentSecure

  • Benefit Update for the StudentSecure Elite plan: COVID-19/SARS-CoV-2 vaccine added to eligible list of covered vaccines (benefit amount remains at $150)
  • Policy wording updated to reflect that virtual physician visits are covered the same as in-office visits.
